The product is easy to transport in separate parts, and you have less weight to lift when checking the condition of your chain. The basic kit weights 30kg (50001) and you can purchase additional 5 kg weights (50002) to increase the total weight by up to 40 kg, for a maximum of 70 kg.
Technical details
Many factors affect the required anchoring weight, such as bottom sediment, depth, weight and length of the chain, and more. the specific conditions of the port must also be considered. Below are examples of suitable weights under normal conditions, where the sinker can settle into the bottom sediment and the fastening chain is at least 2x the water depth. You know your mooring conditions best, and therefore you are responsible for choosing appropriate anchoring. However here are some indicative recommendations. Boat 500 kg -> 30 kg, boat 750 kg -> 35 kg, boat 1000 kg -> 40 kg, boat 1500 kg -> 60 kg and boat 2000 kg -> 70 kg.
