Seaboost Easy Clean hullpaint
Seaboost Easy Clean hull paint is a biocide-free and silicone-free coating designed for boats that are cleaned mechanically during the boating season.
This rock-hard coating offers protection against corrosion and humidity. It is also highly resistant against UV radiation, chemicals and mechanical wear, and has an estimated service interval of 8 years. Please read the instructions for use. In practice, a 0.9 liter covers approximately 11 m². It can be tinted with Mixol tinting pastes according to our instructions.
Technical details
Some say boat hulls don´t need protection, but corrosion damage on aluminum boats is an increasing problem due to electrical leakages in ports. Fiberglass boats may suffer from osmosis, as unprotected gelcoat absorbs moisture. A sufficient layer of protective coatings is always money well spent. Due to the extremely high dry-matter content, one layer of Easy Clean provides the same level of protection as two layers of 2K epoxy primer. In this coating system, every painted layer adds protection, unlike other systems where the repeated painting may hide potential problems.
The hard surface is highly resistant to brushing, nylon scrapers, chemicals and even driving on ice. Easy Clean does not release microplastics during cleaning, making it truly ecological and safe to wash. It is recommended by leading brush-washing services.

PAINT CONSUMPTION IN SEABOOST EASY CLEAN SYSTEM
Seaboost Epoxy Primer ~ 0.095 liters / m² / coat of paint
example: boat bottom 11.22 m² x 0.095 liters x 2 paint layers = 2.13 liters
Seaboost Easy Clean ~ 0.07 liters / m² / coat of paint
example: boat bottom 11.22 m² x 0.07 liters x 1 coat of paint = 0.79 liters
Loss and thinner
It is wise to add a reasonable allowance for loss (e.g. 10%) to the total amount of paint needed. The loss consists of splashes and paint left in painting tools and cans.
Also reserve Seaboost thinner (Thinner SBC 0010) for the project, because thinner evaporates especially from the Epoxy Primer when painting in hot conditions. The thinner can also be used to adjust the viscosity of the paint and clean splashes and tools afterwards. A suitable amount is approximately 10% thinner calculated from the total amount of paint used.
