NEW Seaboost Easy Clean foul release paint
Now Seaboost Easy Clean ISH (Interconnected Siloxane Hybrid) foul release paint is on the market. The paint has been developed and manufactured in Finland for boaters who use mechanical cleaning to keep the bottom of the boat clean and want to minimize the work of painting. The saved resources, you can move on to cleaning the bottom with specially developed brushes, hull cover turfs and washing services.
The Easy Clean surface is easy to paint and clean. The surface protects the boat bottom from moisture, corrosion and mechanical wear. The hardness of the glassy surface is in a class of its own and the product withstands almost unlimited mechanical wear, such as brushes, plastic scrapers and even driving in ice. The boat can be taken ashore for winter storage without the product losing its properties.
The dry content is 98%, which means that only 2% of the content is solvent that evaporates. This also means an almost odorless painting. Thanks to the thick protective film, you can reduce protective epoxy paint layers, so you will avoid unnecessary work and paint consumption.
When it comes to the environment, the majority of boaters already understand how destructive biocide based paints are to the environment. The fact that most new eco-products are based on erosion-sensitive plastic and plastic gel surfaces is something that few know. Continuous maintenance painting means that the surface wears out in our waters and often dries and loses its properties during the winter. Washing sensitive surfaces releases additional microplastics. All surfaces attract growth to some degree, and even a thin layer of fouling means a noticeable deterioration in the boat's performance. Most clean the bottom during the season regardless of what they have painted on the bottom. Seaboost wants to challenge boaters to figure out if continuous painting is worth it when there is anyway a need for cleaning during the season.
